WHAT WE OFFER

​Since 2015, we have proudly served children and adults throughout Western New York, bringing years of professional experience and a passion for helping individuals grow through music. We are dedicated to expanding our students' minds, talents, and skills by providing high-quality, personalized instruction at affordable rates.

We offer virtual private and group music instruction to individuals throughout the United States using a variety of online platforms. Our flexible approach allows students to receive high-quality music education from the comfort of their homes. In-person lessons are also available when they better meet the individual's needs, depending on location and instructor availability.

Our music instruction includes voice, violin, piano, and guitar lessons for students of all ages and skill levels. We also provide individual and group music enrichment services designed to support people with a wide range of special needs and learning differences. These programs offer a creative outlet for emotional expression while fostering self-confidence, personal growth, discipline, and character development in a supportive, encouraging environment.

Amanda's lifelong passion for music began at the age of four when she started classical violin training through the Academy of Talent Education. After mastering the Suzuki violin method during her early adolescent years, she discovered a love for singing that inspired her to pursue vocal performance as her primary focus.

 

She continued her musical education with five years of intensive study at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, where she received training in vocal performance, piano, and musical theater. Amanda earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the Greatbatch School of Music at Houghton University, followed by a Master of Music Therapy degree from Nazareth College.

 

Throughout her education, Amanda had the privilege of participating in master classes with internationally acclaimed artists, including Yo-Yo Ma, Renée Fleming, the Guarneri Quartet, and Joshua Bell. She has also performed and recorded alongside members of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, including Stephan Reuss, further enriching her experience as a performer.

 

Amanda's diverse professional background combines performance, education, and music therapy. She has served as a music therapist at the Hochstein School of Music & Dance in Rochester, NY, and provided music enrichment services through The Arc of Erie and Monroe County, People Inc, Starbridge Services, Christian Heritage Services, Fingerlakes DDSO, Lifetime Assistance, Catholic Charities, and CDS Monarch/Life Transitions,. In addition, she has taught voice, violin, piano, and guitar at Fallsview Academy and Music Education Center, working with students of all ages and skill levels.

 

Today, Amanda is the founder and director of Montone Music School, where she provides high-quality music instruction and enrichment programs for individuals and groups of all ages, abilities, and experience levels. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes strong musicianship, creativity, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for music in a supportive and encouraging environment.

 

In addition to her work as an educator, Amanda has enjoyed a successful career as a professional vocalist for more than 20 years. She has performed with several regional bands, including Uptown Groove of Rochester, NY, and the A&B Duo of Buffalo, NY, entertaining audiences at festivals, country clubs, restaurants, weddings, senior living communities, and private events. While classically trained, Amanda's versatile repertoire spans jazz, pop, country, Broadway, classic standards, soft rock, and contemporary favorites, allowing her to connect with audiences across a wide range of musical styles.

 

Amanda is dedicated to inspiring students through exceptional music education, helping each individual develop technical excellence, artistic expression, and a

lasting love of music.
